The gel elasticity, degradation and consistency is tunable. Applications
Wound Healing
The Albuderm platform can be formulated into a sprayable solution, creating a protective physical barrier over wounds. This barrier not only shields the wound but also provides a moist environment conducive to healing. Additionally, it enables the controlled delivery of biomolecules throughout the healing process while protecting them from proteolytic enzymes present in the wound. The Albuderm dressing is designed to be gradually absorbed over time, ensuring seamless integration with the natural healing process
Skin Rejuvenation
The Albuderm material can be formulated into an injectable gel that can be administered subcutaneously to fill skin wrinkles while simultaneously stimulating collagen synthesis and reducing the appearance of wrinkles. The elasticity and degradation rate of Albuderm gel are tunable, allowing its application in areas with deep wrinkles or regions of high movement. This innovative approach addresses one of the primary causes of wrinkle formation - collagen loss - associated with aging, UV exposure, and other factors contributing to skin aging.
